Etihad Cargo choose Hermes to run Abu Dhabi hub

March 31, 2014

Etihad Cargo have chosen the Hermes air cargo management system to run their Abu Dhabi hub.

“Further enhancement of hub management is an important development for Hermes and we are excited to add a global leading airline like Etihad to our growing list of customers, “says Hermes CEO, Yuval Baruch.

This partnership means Etihad will benefit immediately from the full Hermes air cargo system functionality currently available to run their existing cargo operations whilst the new state-of-the-art hub is being built.

The switch to Hermes will bring immediate benefits all round – better ULD control, greater efficiency, streamlining of processes and use of the Hermes dangerous goods module.

“The contract, is part of a long term agreement, that will see the Etihad Cargo team working closely with the Hermes cargo and technical experts as they jointly evolve the Hermes air cargo management system to meet the specific, bespoke requirements of Etihad’s new future hub, as well as their strategic growth plans,” adds Steve Montgomery, Chief Cargo Officer at Hermes.

Hermes system training is already underway at Etihad’s current hub with a Go-Live date set for late Autumn.
