Our teams are based across our offices in the UK, Israel, and India, as well as staff based in Portugal, Spain and the USA.

We share a combined 400 years’ experience on the frontline in air cargo operations, paired with high-level IT domain expertise.

Training is key to maintaining our edge as the leading provider of the industry’s most versatile and sophisticated cargo management systems, and we are committed to nurturing the next generation of air cargo IT professionals to ensure our dream to digitalise air cargo management becomes a reality.

Meet the team

Yuval Baruch


Yuval has joint responsibilities as CEO of Hermes and President of the Applications Division of Magic Software Enterprises.  Life before Hermes was as CEO & Active Chairman with a history in the information technology and services industry with a Master’s degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Andrew Knott


Andrew brings more than 25 years experience in tech and software development, much of which has been in travel & aviation including building cloud-native SaaS platforms for private aviation plus complex, large-scale travel platforms.  He is well placed to drive the continuous development of Hermes’ cloud-based SaaS solutions.

Joe Hickey

Global Business Development Manager

Joe has a strong background with over 14 years in sales and marketing, more recently in the SaaS arena.  He has worked across various sectors including the logistics and air cargo space so able to evaluate and help develop your business.

Sharon Daniel

Development Manager

Sharon has been part of Hermes’ development team since its first day. He has been an influential contributor on many processes and design of the software. Sharon has more than 25 years in software development, web development and databases.

Alex Westerman

Product Manager

Alex joined Hermes in 2019 having worked at British Airways as a Cargo Agent and latterly a System Expert for the new Warehouse Management System. He was involved with User Acceptance Testing, creating, and delivering training, go-live support and first line post-implementation support. Alex is responsible for the Accounts Domain where his experience is invaluable.

David Jarvis

Training Lead

David continues to develop the Training Dept. and the Learning Management System (LMS) providing Hermes’ users with unlimited access to up-to-date eLearning material across the business.

David has extensive experience in Cargo Operations bringing this knowledge to provide useful and relatable training to match the needs of our customers.

Austin Wells

Technical Lead

Austin joined Hermes in 2021 as a developer for the NG team working in the cloud on Hermes BI and Track And Trace.

Moving to a technical lead role, he has changed his focus to the support and management of the NG development team and the design and architecture of new SaaS projects.

Moshe Dabach

Solution Designer

Moshe has been part of the Developments team since 2004.  Responsible for design and architecture, he provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.  An ability to problem solve and understand business needs translates into his innovative technical solutions.

Helen Arrowsmith

Senior Project Manager

Roles in business operations and project management in the IT sector, and 13 years at Cisco managing diverse projects, events, and product launches, enabled Helen to quickly become a key member of the management team whilst learning the industry and building her team.

Upneesh Gill

Customer Relations and Delivery

Upneesh was among the original users Hermes after its launch in 2001, managing the cargo operations and customer satisfaction for Menzies.  A track record of driving results and building strong relationships, she leads our service delivery with a commitment to excellence. 

Georgie McCrae

Project Manager

Georgie joined Hermes in January 2021 having worked her way up through various project roles in the telecoms world. Working with the Project Team, she plays a key part in upgrades and implementation projects and any new proposals. She has a thorough understanding of the complexities of the industry.

Caroline Ireland

Operations Manager

Responsible for the UK office and finances, Caroline joined Hermes in 2006 building the Operations team. She brings extensive and varied experience across businesses and countries, including publishing, telecoms, coaching, and management in the equestrian world.

Sachin Gokhale

Quality Control Manager

With over 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles in the software lifecycle management, such as Project Planning, CMM level auditing, and Quality Control management, Sachin joined Hermes in 2017 having previously worked in Telecoms for British Telecom, AT&T, and Century Link.
